Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru Domaine Bonneau du Martray 2007

France  >  Burgundy  >  Côte de Beaune  >  Hill of Corton

Green-gold colour. The nose is initially subdued but opens gradually to reveal a pure, zesty almost citrus-y perfume touched by creamy oak. The palate has terrific intensity with piercingly ripe fruit, a latent opulence and profundity of flavour. The generous, even succulent, concentration to the finish is sustained with impressive length.
