Chateau de Lamarque 2008

France  >  Bordeaux  >  Haut-Medoc

This is a really fine ambassador for the appellation - a very classical, traditional Haut-Médoc.

This is a lustrous, deep, ruby-garnet. Ripe red and black fruit comes through on the nose, generous and appetising. Richly-textured, there is optimal balance of succulent fruit, rounded tannins and fresh acidity delicate spiced and underpinned by a crushed stone minerality. The finish is succulent and moderately long.
