Aubert de Villaine's Aligoté is an excellent ambassador for the Aligoté Doré grape - an elegant, appetising wine with personality.
This is the co-owner of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Aubert de Villaine's private holding, now managed by his nephew Pierre de Benoïst. Aligoté is allowed its head here by being planted on the best terroir, on the slopes, leading to ripe, honeyed fruit and an elegant mineral backbone.
