This 100% Gewurtztraminer, from the tiny site of Beblenheim is a very pure example with floral notes, delicate spice and elegant richness.
Bright yellow-gold in colour this has a wonderful nose, rather restrained in Gewurztraminer terms and rather the better for that. There are hints of lychees and rosewater, honeyed nuances and a high-toned mineral focus. Cream textured yet lithe, this remains poised and elegant throughout - no extremes - a demure translation of an often brazen grape.
