The 2009 is a pale green-gold, clinging languidly to the sides of the glass. The nose is astonishing in its vitality, offering citrus zest and lime marmalade high tones, allied to more tropical fruit and complementary minerals both seductive and assertive, voluptuous and disciplined. The palate is layered and complex with aromatics which echo those on the nose, richly textured and very pure with fruit laced with cream. There is an almost tear-jerking purity throughout reflecting an innate nobility.
