A good value, soft and well-made Pomerol. We do not offer this every year but were impressed with the 2010.
This is a blend of 75% Merlot with a rather high proportion of Cabernet Franc, at 25%. Deeply coloured, it offers floral freshness and intense dark fruit on the nose, with a heady dash of spice. The palate is fresh, richly extracted, plump, earthy and ripe, though firmly structured, finishing long.
