Second wine of the largest Pomerol estate Gazin, L'Hospitalet offers a fine balance of quality and value.
This is the second wine of an ancient property, the immediate neighbour of Petrus (to whom it sold 9 acres in 1969) and owned by the charmingly courteous de Bailliencourt family from whom, via Ets. JP Moueix, we hold the UK exclusivity. It is a happy relationship born of great wine and great value for Pomerol. A full ruby colour, the nose offers sweet, butter scotched, toffee red fruit and the palate is beautifully extracted with deep, ripe tannins, full, gently rich, generous flavours and a lively, long, elegant finish. Super wine.
