Château de Lamarque, Haut-Médoc 2003 Serene, elegant and classical, the jewel of Château de Lamarque suggests nothing of the modernity which prevails in both the vineyards and the cellar. Their 2007 is a lustrous jet-ruby in colour with a ruby rim. Ripe blueberry and blackberry fruit come through on the nose with grenadine freshness and delicate spice. The palate reflects these aromatics, developing a base of cherry liqueur, warm fruitcake and mocha.

Château de Lamarque, Haut-Médoc 2007 Deeply coloured, the 2003 has an intriguing nose, rich in plump cherries with hints of chocolate and woodsmoke. Supple, ripe black fruit covers quite firm tannins. This is yet another vintage which testifies to the time, effort and resource which the Gromands have invested in this property.
