Meursault Santenots 1er Cru Domaine Jacques Prieur 2013

France  >  Burgundy  >  Cote De Beaune  >  Meursault

From some of the Domaine's youngest vines and all the more impressive for that - pretty, bright and upbeat with underlying drive and intensity.

The nose presents elements of pastry shop, creamy richness and a little lemon shortcake - quite restrained. The palate is a little reticent initially but develops intriguing vitality, an upbeat side which does not quite conceal the background intensity. This will develop further in time, always balanced by freshness and a complementary mineral seam. Taut yet with drive and focus - lovely.
