A serious, intense, complex Rioja from Benjamin Romeo, which is simultaneously fresh and pure.
Bodegas Benjamin Romeo is situated in the heart of Rioja. Benjamin, frustrated by much of the mass production from the region, elected to make the very best spanish wines possible. La Viña de Andres is a single vineyard. This is stylish and masculine, offering layers of dark fruit, cacao, spice and minerals.

"Intense aromas of garrigue and bursting with dark dark fruit. Smells cool and fresh. Fine, firm dark tannins. Restrained, full of its origins, with a strong mineral freshness that bathes your mouth."
"The 2006 La Vina de Andres Romeo is sourced from a single vineyard. Opaque purple-colored, the wines legs ooze slowly down the glass. Aromas of smoke, cedar, pencil lead, underbrush, and blackberry are enticing leading to a tightly wound, dense, powerful Rioja that will evolve for another 8-10 years and provide a drinking window extending from 2018 to 2030."
