Peter Sisseck, Ribera del Duero, Spain
2009 Vintage Release
We are delighted to present Peter Sisseck’s portfolio from the 2009 vintage – three iconic wines made by one of the world’s greatest translators of terroir.
“The 2009s are, in this winery’s brief history, off the charts. The purity of fruit and the length of the palate have never been seen before.”
Peter Sisseck, April 2010

Cantina Giacomo Conterno, Piedmont, En Primeur
’08,’06, ’02 Vintages
We are absolutely delighted to be releasing Roberto’s two new wines from his new Cerretta vineyard for the first time and we are very pleased to announce that Roberto has granted Corney & Barrow exclusivity, along with the rest of his range. As always with this release, we are offering a mix of vintages; the Barberas and the new Nebbiolo are released younger (2008 vintage) and the Barolo Cascina Francia, older (2006 vintage), due to the additional length of time needed to age. Excitingly, we are also releasing the exquisite Barolo Monfortino 2002 this year, which is only made in exceptional vintages.
“2008 a new challenge in the history of Conterno.”
Roberto Conterno, August 2010

Tardieu-Laurent, Rhône, En Primeur
2009 Vintage Release
2009 looks set to be one of those rare vintages that is a success right across France. Michel Tardieu and his team have once again captured the very essence of the diverse regions of the Rhône. For the past few vintages it has been the southern Rhône that has captured the headlines but, refreshingly, in 2009 the north has turned out some spectacular wines. From the spicy succulence of Crozes-Hermitage to the sun-kissed, garrigue-scented Rasteau, these are unquestionably some of the finest examples of the Rhône one could hope to find.
“A year for great terroirs and old vines”

Tertre Roteboeuf, Roc de Cambes, Bordeaux, En Primeur
2009 Vintage Release
2009 is a vintage borne of dryness, rather than fantastic heat, and the intensity and freshness owe much to the differences between day and night temperatures during the crucial weeks and days before harvest. This is a vintage which conforms to what François’ deems the joli paradoxe of both properties, a wonderful balance of opulence and breezy vitality.
“It seems to me that 2009, if we want to class it amongst the great classical vintages, is the best since…1990.”
François Mitjavile, March 2010

Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix, Bordeaux, En Primeur
2009 Vintage Release
Wines that are concentrated, richly and sweetly flavoured and profound but with an insinuating silkiness and freshness of perfect balance. When pushed, Christian Moueix, a man noted for cool dispassion in his vintage assessments, offered almost apologetically that 2009 might be a mythical combination of 1982, 1989 and 1990. Whatever, these wines dance beautifully and will do so into legend.
“2009 might be a mythical combination of 1982, 1989 and 1990.”
Christian Moueix, March 2010

Olivier Leflaive, Burgundy, En Primeur
2009 Vintage Release
2009 is a vintage of great quality. The wines offer a richness, depth of flavour and succulent texture unseen in recent vintages, while retaining the mineral freshness that gives Burgundy much of its charm. Many of these wines will drink beautifully in the immediate to mid-term, while some, particularly those from premier cru sites, will evolve with grace.
“A vintage of great quality across all appellations.”
Franck Grux, March 2010
