What is the Corney & Barrow Cellar Club?

The Cellar Club is an easy, no-fuss way of building up a collection of wines from Corney & Barrow’s portfolio of exclusive and broked wines. Whether it is to enjoy in a year’s time or for the next generation, we will help you to create a collection of wines tailored to your tastes and needs, for as little as £100 a month. If you don’t have a cellar of your own, we will look after your wines while they mature and deliver them to you when they are ready to drink. The result is a ready-made collection of wines constantly available to you, with an evenly distributed cost.

How does the Cellar Club work?

The Cellar Club operates around an easy to manage standing order, from as little as £100 a month. You can choose how much you would like this to be. There is no obligation to purchase something every month. If you are only interested in Bordeaux en primeur then that is all we will purchase.

A Dedicated Service

On joining the Cellar Club, you will be appointed a dedicated Corney & Barrow representative who will help build your cellar with you. During an initial consultation, he or she will get to know your likes and dislikes and help to shape a cellar of wines to perfectly suit your requirements. You will be contacted by your Cellar Club representative at intervals agreed at your initial consultation, for updates on purchases or recommendations.

Flexible Purchasing

Wines are purchased from the credit in your account, but the Cellar Club allows you to reserve wines with a value of up to three times the amount of your monthly subscription. If you wish to make additional purchases, then you can of course do so.

Cellaring at Home or with Corney & Barrow

You do not need a cellar / storage facility of your own. We have a very close partnership with Cert Octavian who runs a unique underground cellar in Corsham, Wiltshire. Widely recognised as one of the best cellaring facilities in the UK, you can be sure that your wine will be in safe hands until we advise you of its optimum drinking window.

Delivery to your Door When You Wish

We will advise you when your wines are reaching their individual drinking windows. When you decide you want to drink them, whether it is shortly after purchase or in ten years' time, we will deliver it to your door, with no charge.

Cellar Club Terms & Conditions

In addition to Corney & Barrow’s standard terms and conditions of sale, the following additional terms and conditions of sale apply to the Cellar Club.

Membership term:

The minimum membership term for the Cellar Club is 12 months.

Monthly subscription:

The minimum monthly subscription is £100.

Reservation facility:

Cellar Club members may reserve wine from time to time, provided that the value of wine reserved at any time (taking into account monthly subscriptions received) does not exceed three times the amount of their monthly subscription. Purchases in excess of this limit must be paid for at the time of order. Title in wine that has been reserved by a Cellar Club member does not pass to that member until Corney & Barrow has received payment in full settlement of that member’s account for that wine.

Storage:

Wines can be stored with Corney & Barrow. For the prevailing rates, please contact Corney & Barrow. Storage charges can either be settled from the monthly subscription, or in accordance with the standard terms. Storage charges will not be levied on wines that have been reserved but not yet paid for.

Delivery:

Delivery within mainland UK of one 9-litre case equivalent or more is free of charge.

Joining incentives:

Corney & Barrow may from time to time offer new member joining incentives. These offers are available exclusively to new members and may be subject to a minimum membership term.
