BUYING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Corney & Barrow is looking to recruit a Buying Support Assistant (“BSA”) to join our Commercial Wine Buying Team based at our Head Office near Tower Bridge.
The BSA is key to success of Commercial Buying team output, providing the administrative ‘nuts & bolts’ necessary to support the Buyers. Key duties include:
Product management - handling the day-to-day administration of specific wines within the Commercial wine portfolio, including:
- Managing internal tastings and samples (for quality control/sourcing purposes etc, including maintaining records)
- Product Set-up (data entry and creation of product codes)
- Stock management (monitoring stock levels)
- Liaison with Stock Team (regarding product setup,shipping issues etc
- Supplier itinerary coordination
- Generating reports (shipping, sales, orders, listings, financial etc)
- All general office administrative tasks.
The role will not only require close liaison with many different teams within the business and will also include considerable supplier contact, therefore strong interpersonal and communication skills are key to this role. The BSA MUST have advanced knowledge of French (spoken and written – able to use the language for advanced business discussions); Spanish and/or Italian also helpful.
An in-depth understanding of the mechanics & skills involved in the shipping of wine will be very useful. The role might suit an individual with a Supply Chain background wishing to move into Buying.
There is a high volume of work involved and an exceptional standard of organisation, attention to detail and ability to prioritise are fundamental. Excellent IT skills will be crucial (Word and Excel).
WSET training and/or knowledge of the wine trade will be very helpful.
This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent admin skills and a keen interest in wine to receive first class exposure to the wine industry.

CUSTOMER RESERVES/LOGISTICS ASSISTANT (Fixed Term Contract)
Corney & Barrow is looking to recruit a Customer Reserves/Logistics Assistant on a Fixed Term Contract to cover a maternity leave within our Supply Chain team, based at our Head Office near Tower Bridge.
Key duties include:
- Assisting Customer Reserves Co-Ordinator with stock management and customer requests
- Assisting Export Shipping Co-Ordinator
- Landing Stock & setting up product codes for reserves and export wines
- Export Order processing, shipping and invoicing
- Export Customer Service queries
Excellent IT skills will be crucial (Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook) with data inputting experience.
