Corney & Barrow 

We offer fun, informative and high quality wine tasting events and courses, whether for colleagues or clients to enjoy a social evening together or to improve confidence and knowledge in wine. We can recommend a wide range of themes and concepts, including:

• Know your grape varieties or wine regions
  
• Blind tasting challenges
• Navigating a restaurant wine list
• Wine and food matching classes

We can accommodate any group size, from 4 to 200+.

Costs start at £25 a head, but can be tailored to your group size and budget.

Events and courses are led by Dan Senior or another member of the Corney & Barrow team - all experienced public speakers and W.S.E.T. trained and qualified.

We can host events and courses at your offices or (for groups of up to 40) at our Grade II listed building by St. Katharine Docks, E1W, either in our professional tasting room or 19th century drawing room.

An Example Event - “Know Your Grapes”

A 2 hour event, for a group of 25 people, Dan Senior will host a tasting of 8 different wines, carefully chosen from Corney & Barrow’s list. The event will include:

• An introduction to several major grape varieties, winemaking styles and regions.
• A guide to the fundamental principles of wine tasting, identifying key characteristics and a background to each wine.
• Help on understanding quality and value for money in wine, whatever the venue and occasion.
• A great opportunity to ask those questions about wine which you have always wanted to.
• We would also suggest a fun quiz, including a blind tasting challenge, with wine prizes for the winner(s).
