Based in our Newmarket shop, this role has specific responsibilities to grow wine sales for private & trade customers with a focus on repeat & regular trade, maximising both turnover and profit and achieving an annual target for both. The successful candidate will bring creative thinking to the role to attract new customers and grow sales.
The position also involves sharing retail sales duties with the Newmarket shop manager (working on a rota basis), face to face sales at some evening external events and working for Corney & Barrow at Tattersalls Thoroughbred Horse sales during pre-sale and sale dates.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in wine sales, with a proven track record of identifying and delivering new business
- Customer service skills
- A creative and enthusiastic attitude
- Computer literate
- Full driving licence
- WSET qualifications are advantageous but not essential
