Château Bélair-Monange was born from the fusion of the vineyards of Châteaux Bélair and
Magdelaine, both historic Premier Grands Crus Classés of Saint-Émilion. Château Bélair-Monange expresses the unique style of the greatest parcels of these two complementary terroirs. Nominally the second wine, Annonce de Belair-Monange cut from the same cloth as the grand vin. A wine of great charm in youth, which will nonetheless repay a few years’ of cellaring or a few hours of decanting
"Strawberries and cream on the nose, expressively red fruited and inviting, with an impressive density of aroma. The palate is softly fruited, with tomato leaf, sweet spices and a fine iron-clad minerality. The gently grippy tannins frame the mid-palate and bring a sense of rigour to the finish, without curtailing its long, perfumed length. "
