Ascension Chardonnay Maturana Wines 2021

Ascension Chardonnay Maturana Wines 2021

A multi-dimensional Chardonnay, suitably named after the artwork “Ascension in the Multiverse” by Alejandro Piñeiro Bello, which refers to the rise of the human spirit to multiple universes and life in different dimensions. ‘Ascension’ Chardonnay, aged partly in amphorae, partly in concrete tanks and partly in French oak barrels, shows a multitude of textures and flavours – ranging from zesty to honeyed, from fresh to earthy, with so much in between. Aromatic complexity is further enhanced by 5 months of skin contact, which also gives the wine some frame.

"Plenty of citrus notes on the nose, laced with floral hints and undertones of almonds and honey. The palate shows freshness and depth, with a fleshy bite from the percentage of wine in contact with its skins. Long in the mouth with an elegant, mineral finish."
