Barta Winery is based in the village of Mád in Hungary’s famous Tokaji wine region. Barta makes tiny volumes of dry and sweet wines from the traditional local grape variety Furmint, farmed organically. Head Winemaker Vivien Ujvári is one of the rising stars of her generation. Vivien melds contemporary techniques, acquired internationally, with a deep respect for traditional Mád’s terroir and traditions, to produce wines of great purity and grace.
