This is the fruit of 50-year-old bush vines Tempranillo grown at 575m a.s.l on this pebbly single plot facing the Sierra Cantabrica mountain range. Hand harvested and sorted, only the best berries are then part of this blend. The wine is aged for almost two years in French oak barrels side by side with the mountains surrounding the winery.
This results in a voluptuous wine expressive of rich dark fruits, plummy character and a persistent mineral note. A great expression of Alavesa's power and elegance.
"A rare, rich and moreish Rioja Alavesa expression made from the Sierra Carbón single-vineyard by terroir-driven family winery; Bodegas Zugober. "
