A terroir wine made from low-yielding, 80-year-old Garnacha bush vines planted between 1920 and 1930. This single-vineyard plot of 0.3ha is planted at 430m over a south-facing, chalk-rich terrace. Hand-picked, sorted and destemmed, only the best fruit is selected to make this cuvée which bursts with bright pomegranate aromas. Aged in large 5,000L oak barrels for 20months and a further year in a bottle prior release, this velvet-smooth wine is succulent on the palate - explosion of red fruits laced with clove and dark chocolate characters. Round, full and concentrated, with smooth tannins and a long, refreshing finish – emblematic of the Rioja.
"A bright and moreish Garnacha expression made from 80-year-old bush vines planted over a chalk-rich terrace, in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa sub-region. "
