This is an exceptionally pure expression of Pinot Noir taken from the estate’s top vineyards of Champs Saint-Martin and L’Espérance in Verzenay. The nose is tight, with touches of stony minerality and sharp red fruit. The palate has a fierce acidity and feels densely packed with crunchy raspberries and further mineral tension that builds towards a powerful and long finish. This wine needs time, but it will fan out into a fine example of Verzenay Pinot Noir.
