Chateau Canon 1er Grand Cru Classe St-Emilion 2009

Chateau Canon occupies 22 hectares of largely south-west-facing vines, planted on fossil-rich limestone. A very attractive, profound jet-ruby, this presents an inviting compote of cherries on the nose, sweet and ripe. The palate is rich in blueberry fruit, fresh and concentrated, silk textured, sensual and wonderfully poised. This is a very fine ambassador for Canon, harmonious and complex, with an attractive mineral tone. Estimated arrival time in UK of Bordeaux 2009 en primeur wines: Spring 2012

"One of the standard bearers of St-Emilion capable of superb quality as it was in 2009."
