56.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 5.5% Cabernet Franc. Bright black and red berries, with highly polished supple tannins. An insistent power builds on the mid-palate, as does the pretty red berry perfume. A more forthright style than the grand vin. 14% abv.

"53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot. Ripe raspberry fruit on the expressive nose, with elegant cassis notes. The palate is surprisingly fresh and poised, showing a real lightness of touch which works brilliantly with the medium-bodied vivacity. Fine, chalky tannins. Picking here from 31st August. 34% of production.
