Dutruch Grand Poujeaux, along with Chasse-Spleen, Poujeaux and Maucaillou, enjoy the best terroirs of Moulis, the smallest of the communal appellations of the Médoc. The soils mirror some plots in St Julien and St Estèphe – poor, and well-drained, deep Garonne gravels - great Cabernet country.
