Château Haut Bailly is a classified growth planted on high gravelly slopes to the east of Léognan, on the outskirts of Bordeaux. 2016 is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the resulting wine matured in 50% new wood for 15 months before being bottled unfined and unfiltered.
"2016 Haut Bailly is a classical rendition of a traditional vintage, gently air-brushed with a touch of modernity. Deep ruby in colour, it offers a darkly-fruited, lightly spiced nose, rich in cassis and bramble, complemented by innate minerality. Good concentration, richly-textured"
