"From the Lynch Bages stable, now in the fifth vintage since the Cazes family took over. Almost half the estate has been planted since that time. 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot. Sweet raspberry fruit, this is now a much more extrovert (and more extravagantly oaked) wine than in the past. Rich, dark cherry fruit and liquorice on the palate. Firm, dense tannins. The grand vin represents 50% of production. 16 months in oak barrels, 70% new. 13% abv.
