"87% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc. Ripe raspberry aromas, with orange rind and summer roses. The palate is fresh and vibrant on the entry, opening onto a powerful mid-palate of rich, pure raspberry and blackberry fruit, with bitter chocolate, framed by firm, finely grippy tannins. Lots of energy and verve, making for an upbeat, exciting Conseillante.
La Conseillante’s 12 hectares were picked between 5th and 20th September. 70% new oak. 14% abv. Cropped at 33hl/ha – not bad for Pomerol this year.
