Chateau La Fleur des Graves Blanc Graves de Vayres 2018

Chateau La Fleur des Graves Blanc Graves de Vayres 2018

From Graves de Vayres in Bordeaux’s Entre-Deux-Mers region, this is a Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc blend. Fresh and enticing, with aromas of cut grass and a zippy, fresh body.

"A fresh and zippy Sauvignon-Semillon blend, perfect for garden quaffing."

“Owned by the Glotin family, who also own the adjacent Château Goudichaud. A blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon, this white Graves has a pungent, forceful nose with grassy character. Weight and ripeness of fruit is supported by crisp acidity and a slightly bitter peach kernel/grapefruit zest note on the finish. Plenty of character for the price”

    Juicy white Bordeaux
This 2018 is quite rich in colour and the palate lives up to the first impressions. 75% Sauvignon and 25% Semillon, and at 12.5%, this wine is confident and brash in its lime and grapefruit pith bitterness and has a concentration about it which suggest a higher abv or more serious oaking. This is a lot of wine for the price and appellation; great for summer parties and BBQs.
