91% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8.5% Merlot, 0.5% Petit Verdot. Graphite, pencil shavings and cool, poised blackcurrant, very classical, with a sweetly dark-fruited, gently insistent ripeness which supports the tannins beautifully. The tannins themselves are wonderfully fine, the finest I have seen this vintage. Extremely polished, but without detracting from its elegant, cassis-driven character. Effortless. The yield was 40hl/ha – around 10% lower yield than a normal vintage. 13.3% abv.

"94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, 1% Petit Verdot. Beautifully fine cassis and blackberry aromas, with fine cedary spices and raspberry in second file. The palate is darkly, ripely fruited and immediate, the pure blackcurrant fruit lifted by taut acidity and a citric zestiness. Very fine tannins which are coated in elegant, aromatic dark berry fruit. The grand vin represents 38% of production. 35hl/ha. 13.6% abv.
