"87% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot. Rose petal, violet and peony perfume and ripe, pure raspberry aromas, with cassis and graphite behind. The palate is pristinely red cherried and chalky on the entry, opening onto a mid-palate of regal black and red berry fruit, framed by beautifully fine, fruit-coated tannins. This is a quintessential Margaux, soaring, fresh and finely textured. The finish is long and wonderfully perfumed.
The grand vin accounts for 36% of the estate’s total production, which is around normal. 13% abv.
