Chateau Pontet-Canet 2010

Chateau Pontet-Canet 2010

Jet-plum ruby, intense, with an almost invisible, tight rim. The nose evokes a blend of fresh black cherry, blueberry, cassis and cocktail cherries, luscious and sweet. The blend in 2010 is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. It is rich, cream-textured, full and ripe with spiced and undertones and modern notes of toasted mocha and vanillin. Incredibly dense and powerful, it is lifted by elevated acidity and mineral precision - long and chiselled on the finish.Estimated arrival time in UK of Bordeaux 2010 en primeur wines: Spring 2013

"Alfred Tesseron's wines have become some of the most talked of in recent vintages, the 2010 is of no exception. Sheer class."
