Chateau Saint-Aubin 2012

This is unusual on two counts. First it is very far north within the Médoc - but the terroir simply works Secondly, this incorporates six Bordeaux grape varieties, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot. The soil makes for readily expressed fruit maturity and each variety plays a role in the final, balanced, smooth blend.
