Château Talbot 2018

Château Talbot 2018

Dark berried, leafy and with a high level of broad, grippy tannin. Impressive but a traditional/austere style, lots of patience required. Plantings: 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot.

"66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot. Darkly, sweetly berried and leafy, with a high level of broad, grippy tannin. Dense and impressive, a good sign of the new direction under Jean-Michel Laporte. The style remains traditional, verging on austere, but this is built for ageing and shows every sign of doing so gracefully. 60% new oak."
