Deep plum-ruby in colour, this reveals a ripe, headily-perfumed brew, violets, wild blackberry and raspberry to the fore, with a savoury backdrop. Elegant floral notes, summer berries and cherry dominate the palate, held in check by a persistent mineral restraint. A breezy flash of pepper adds intrigue and one year old Alliers and Tronçais barrels contribute texture and delicate spice, a lovely wine and a fine ambassador for the vintage.
