Frédéric Lafarge and his wife Chantal, Of Domaine Michel Lafarge, centred in Volnay decided, in the spring of 2014, to look further afield, creating a new Domaine in nearby Beaujolais, Domaine Lafarge Vial. They managed to secure several parcels of vines within Fleurie and one small adjoining parcel of Chiroubles
"This is a tiny plot in Chiroubles, with vines with an average age of 45 years. A pale ruby-bramble in colour, this offers sweet, pink pepper and pure berry fruit on the nose and palate, cherries too, ripe and rounded."
