The grapes for Cipollina Rosso come from the hilly areas in the west of Sicily. The blend focusses on Nero d’Avola, an extremely popular native grape of the island that loves the hot climate, which helps to give the grape skins and the resulting wines their distinctive dark colour. Richly cherry-scented with violet hints, the palate has powerful flavours of ripe plums and dark cherries. Velvety tannins are accompanied by soothing sweet spices and a juicy, moreish finish.
