Savoury and exotic spices greet you on the nose, with a nice sweetness of dark, bitter cherry and a hint of balsamic. The palate is impressively built, showing bright red berries, which are very grippy from the mid-palate, the tannins being admirably fruit-coated. A long, driving finish, with dark spices and fruits of the forest persisting.
"There is brilliant overarching purity here, making for a wine which vibrates with energy."
