Dark, spicy and with crushed-rock minerality on the nose. The palate is similarly deep and brooding, albeit with a sucrosity of fruit which complements the rigorously strict tannins. Powerful and impressive, one for the long term. 15% whole clusters were used in 2017 to soften out those tannins, with ageing in 65% new French oak.
