Cornas Vieilles Vignes Tardieu-Laurent 2018

Cornas Vieilles Vignes Tardieu-Laurent 2018

If Cote-Rotie and Hermitage are the go-to northern Rhpne appellations, Cornas is the insider’s choice. 100% Serine/Syrah, ranging from 80 to over 100 years old. This comes from mid-slope plots of Les Eygats and Patou.

"50% whole bunch fermented. Very dense ruby colour. Peppery, this is a big wine which needs patience. Smoky bacon and freshly ground coffee, bitter chocolate and fresh mint. Aged for 24 months in new and one year-old barrels. "
