The modus operandi at Domaine Lafarge Vial centres on minimum intervention to let the terroir speak for itself. There is no new wood here, and certainly no carbonic maceration. The wines were vinified in of old oak. The resulting wine combines ripe, aromatic fruit and flowers with well-integrated, firm tannins. Frédéric Lafarge was most impressed by the success of the granite soils in 2016
"This is a 0.66 hectare granite plot of 50 year old vines, producing rounded fruit, cherries , berries and rose allied to a well-grounded structure"
