Clos du Chapeau is a monopole, consisting of 1.5 hectares of vines in Comblanchien, on the plain. This is the southern end of the Cote de Nuits, whose quarries offer glimpses of the limestone beneath. Tasted from bottle, Clos du Chapeau having been bottled before the 2024 harvest, as usual. Assertive bright raspberry fruit, enlivened by aromas of woodland and nettles. The palate is poised on the entry with a building sense of volume.
