Cotes-du-Rhone Vignobles Gonnet 2017

Cotes-du-Rhone Vignobles Gonnet 2017

This superb Côtes du Rhône is made by brothers Bertrand and Guillaume Gonnet at their family Domaine. The vineyards are situated on the right bank of the Rhône at Domazan in the Gard department. This exceptional terroir enables them to make a wine that is elegantly pitched between ripe-fruited richness and lively freshness.

"Beautifully made, 'Rhône in a bottle' from innovative family winemakers, Vignobles Gonnet. Aromas of violet, chocolate and dried herb notes on the nose with a palate that is balanced with spicy liquorice, dark fruit and a fresh acidity."

“Ripe, dark-red fruit. A touch spirity on the nose but a little bit stony/dusty too. Chewy and honest fruit on the palate. Straightforward, relatively restrained, and balanced, with sufficiently chewy tannins to fit it for the table. ”
