Inviting aromas of warm pastry and white peach. The palate is pure, fleshy and giving, the initial pear fruit giving way to a fine salty-mineral back-palate, which is long and deft. Lovely momentum and purity – this is a winner. It spends eight months in a combination of new and used barrels, then is very lightly filtered, with no fining. 13.5% abv.
