Custoza is a village in the province of Verona, which gives the name to this appellation. Custoza wines are unusual -for Italian white wines- in being a multi-varietal blend. The purpose is to get the best of all its components, and this is a classic example. The Menegotti family creates a blend where the different varieties all come together beautifully, with their aromatics, the structure, the minerality. Uplifting and characterful.
"A blend of indigenous grapes Cortese, Garganega, Trebbiano and Tocai Friulano, this thirst-quenching white wine displays aromas of white blossoms and stone fruit. Delicate, fruity and approachable."
Italy’s Veneto wine region has played a pivotal part in Italy’s wine culture since Roman times, boosted by its strategic location close to Venice and the Adriatic. Today the Veneto is a thriving wine region, responsible for almost a sixth of Italy’s wine production and the source of Italy’s most successful contemporary wine ‘brand’ Pinot Grigio, a light-bodied dry white wine made from vineyards on the plains. Behind Venice, the Conegliano hills are home to Prosecco, the white grape and sparkling white wine style now taking the world by storm.
