Espérance de Trotanoy, younger sibling to Château Trotanoy, made its debut in 2009. The product of younger vines, it bears the hallmark of Trotanoy – the power and intensity – but is more approachable in youth.Château Trotanoy is a jewel amongst the rarefied properties of Pomerol. The name “Trotanoy” invokes the hardships of working a tough clay-based soil – trop ennui (too much trouble) – slithery and awkward when wet and almost impenetrable when baked dry. No smoke without fire however as the wines are breathtaking
"A wine critic wrote, "I would hop on a plane and travel the world to have a sip of an ancient Château Trotanoy." Luckily, we have its second wine in stock.
