Bella Vista is well situated high in Argentina’s Mendoza province at 980m above sea level. Here warm sunny days and cool nights prolong the ripening season. This, in addition to poor alluvial soils and low rainfall, sets the scene for the production of concentrated, mature grapes, which make for great structure and complexity in the finished wine. Bella Vista is rich in old (over 90 years) vine fruit.
"Inky-plum, with a tight, firm, bright rim, this offers hot fruitcake notes at first. The palate, grippy and earthy initially, is like a taut spring, obviously concentrated fruit reined in by tannins at this stage. Suddenly berries and cherries throw of their shackles, abundant and expressive on the mid-palate, promising a superb future. This is a keeper and will age beautifully. It finishes harmoniously, fresh and long.

Achaval-Ferrer
Achaval Ferrer was founded by a group of Argentinian and Italian friends who loved wine and were determined to produce something outstanding – an aim encouraged by celebrated Italian oenologist Roberto Cipresso, one of the founding team.
Argentina is one of the world’s most exciting wine-producing countries. Important both in quantity and in the quality and style of its wines, Argentina has much to tempt wine consumers of all palates and pockets. Its juicy, soft-textured, everyday-drinking wines made from European varieties such as Chardonnay, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are widely consumed both in Argentina and abroad.
