Fleurie Domaine Lafarge Vial 2017

Frédéric Lafarge and his wife Chantal established Domaine Lafarge Vial in the spring of 2014. They managed to secure several parcels of vines within Fleurie and one small adjoining parcel of Chiroubles, with buildings within the lieu-dit Bel-Air, in the commune of Fleurie. The vineyards enjoyed biodynamic viticulture from the outset, mirroring the Lafarge family’s approach in Volnay. With the 2017 vintage Frédéric Lafarge related that the wines “burst with fruit and intensity”.

"Due to the 2017 hail, just one cuvée of Fleurie was made this year. This contains the 1.2 ha plot of 60+ year old vines known as La Joie du Palais, plus Bel-Air and Cercillon. Extremely perfumed and red-berried, this has a bright, plush attractiveness of fruit. "
