I suspect this wine will pass into legend. Well, perhaps they all will, but this will be unquestionably in the van*. It is one of those very, very, rare wines whose perfume appears endless even as you run out of breath. Delectable mineral nose of haunting, racy, crystalline white fruits, lithe, ripe and peachy. The palate is elegantly debauched, silkily dense, but with an almost atmospheric structure of linear precision, purity, intensity and concentration to the finish. Utterly profound, really rather good to coin the Chairman's phrase.

Germany produces some of the world’s very finest white wines, presenting natural, grapey richness complemented by racy acidity. A really fine example sets off a roller coaster of emotion akin to a skilfully played piece of music.
