Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes Domaine Pierre Labet 2014

Francois Labet is son of the later Pierre Labet and has been at the helm of the family business for some decades, spearheading a move to organic and now biodynamic production. All of the wines bearing the Pierre Labet labels share the same fastidious attention to detail as that exercised at Château de La Tour, Clos Vougeot Grand Cru. The vineyards are farmed organically, and all the wines are produced in the cellars in Clos de Vougeot. All of the family vineyards an wines are overseen by François.

Harvest conditions were optimal. The nose, rich in berries and cherries, is suffused with violet and rose petals. There is fresh juicy acidity, fine grip and attractive fruit underscored by earthy minerals"
