Kapellenberg, in Gimmeldigen, forms the southeast slope of a vineyard situated high in the foothills of the Haardt mountain range, with cooling breezes from the nearby forest. A chapel below the vineyard gives the site its name. A bright golden colour, with ripe white and yellow peach aromas and a touch of nutmeg. The palate opens fleshily, the upfront peach and apricot fruit receding to reveal a mineral underlay, with lemon zest, tangy acidity and a salty, precise finish.
